After having been hit but not fatally, Al invited fellow bow hunter, Del Austin to share the pursuit. As fate would have it, Del Austin was the lucky man who scored and has held the title of world record bow Non Typical since 1962.
The world record title is threatened now by the Mike Beaty and Jerry Bryant bucks.

From his stand, Kim heard movement. He saw this buck with a mass of fence wire wrapped in its rack. Carefully, down the length of his arrow he shot. Stuck, the buck fled.
Then, already on his trail, excited, noses down, a pack of coyotes pursued...
Some what apprehensive, Kim decided to find help retrieving the deer.
When they finally did find the buck, it was mangled by the coyotes.
